There are two methods for bill tracking online. You can use any of them according to your convenience.

Pifra Bill Tracking through Online Portal:

Step 1: Visit the Pifra Website and Choose the Bill Status Option:

  • Open your browser and search for your bill related query. Click on the official Pifra website and go to its bill status option.
  • You can also search this link (https://m.pifra.gov.pk/Token_Page) on your browser. It will direct you to the bill checking page of the website.

Step 2: Enter your Token Number:

  • Now enter the token number with the government code and district code in the given box.
  • First of all, write the government code like “P” for the Punjab and S for the Sindh government. Now write your district code like “LO” for Lahore. And in the last enter the six digit token number.
  • For example, the supposed token number for a DDO in Lahore city will be PLO345678.

Step 3: Press “Enter” and Confirm the Status:

  • ✔️On step 3, press “Enter” and it will show your bill status as “Approved”, “Pending”, or “Rejected” for some reason.

Pifra Bill Tracking through SMS:

If you don’t have access to the internet, you can use SMS services to confirm your bill status. Follow the given step by step procedure.

Paid: Your bill is approved and the payment has been made into your bank account.

Under Progress or In Progress: It means your bill has been received by the AG office and is in queue for processing. Just wait and no action required until too long.

Pending: Your bill is yet to be approved by a higher authority such as the audit officer or section officer. They may require extra documents if needed.

Rejected: It means your bill is not accepted due to significant issues that can’t be solved by objections.

In this situation, the bill must be recreated or initiated with corrections.

No Record Found: This means the system couldn’t locate your bill or there is a mismatch in your credentials. Verify your DDO code or token number and contact your accountant’s general office.

How to Get a Pifra Token Number for Bill Status Tracking?

Problem: Many clerks and DDOs try to check their bill status even without a token number.

Solution: Token number is necessary for this purpose. After preparing the bill, submit it to your concerned accountant’s office. They will sign and stamp it and issue a token number for your bill.

Usually the proceedings begin after the 7 days of the token number issue. And then you can check your bill status by using this token number.

Bill Status Not Updating:

Problem: This is the most common error seen in bill tracking. The officers come to our AGPR office and complain that the status of our submitted bill is “In Process” for weeks with no change.

Solution: This problem happens due to missing documents or internal objections. Sometimes the bill is forwarded to the treasury but the status is not updated.

Pay Bills or Pension Bills:

DDOs and clerks track pay and pension bills after submitting them to the AG office. These bills consist of the monthly salaries of present and retired government employees.
